Each year we house several hundred Clearing students in university accommodation, the good news is with the opening of an additional 500 rooms at the Bay Campus, we have lots more accommodation available and many more Ensuite rooms, which are always highly sought after!

Applying for Accommodation

Once we have all results and have fulfilled our guarantee to students applying before the 30th June, we will then be in a position to offer accommodation, either in our halls of residence or student houses, to Late and Clearing Students. (Late applicants are any applications for accommodation received after the 30th June date).

Can I speed up the process?

Have a look at the accommodation website, familiarise yourself with the application process and have all the required information to hand ready for the clearing process. Here are a few links to the website that may be of some use to you and will be updated regularly in the days prior to results.

If Accommodation is full?

We are hoping to offer many of our Late and Clearing applicants accommodation with the additional new 500 Ensuite rooms at the Bay Campus this year.

Firstly, don’t panic, there’s an abundance of good quality student houses in popular student areas, Brynmill, Uplands, St Thomas and Port Tennant and we offer assistance in making sure that you are able to meet up with fellow 1st year students in the same situation as yourself to ensure that you find somewhere to live.

  • Undergraduates who have made an application for accommodation by the 1st September, and we are then unable to house, will be emailed and invited to our Housing Fair.
  • Accommodation will be available for the event on Wednesday 12th September 2018 with a meet and greet event.
  • Only 1st-year students that we are unable to house will be invited to the Housing Fair.
  • We will open up a waiting list after the event on 13/09/2018 for any students wishing to wait for any possible cancellations of university accommodation.

Housing Fair is always a great success and along with Residential Services, SAS Lettings, and the Students’ Union: We've had a really positive response to this event in previous years. We offer 1 night on site accommodation, a ‘Meet and Greet’ social event on the first evening to meet each other, and set rooms aside with computers so you can search for student houses on our database Studentpad:

Housing Fair

If we are unable to house every 1st Year student that has made an application for accommodation we will invite you to our Housing Fair,

  • Wednesday 12th September - September Meet & Greet social event in the evening.  (Accommodation available for students - pre booking required)
  • Thursday 13th September - Property viewings, assistance, and housing advice.

It is a great way of meeting fellow students that want to team up and look for a house together. Join the Facebook Group:

We offer 1 night on site accommodation, a ‘Meet and Greet’ social event on the first evening to meet each other and rooms set aside with computers for searching available student houses on our database Studentpad and staff on hand to help, guide and answer any questions.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer the accommodation included ante Housing Fair to returning students.  Accommodation is for students who have applied for university accommodation and that we are unable to house.
