In the lead up to the centenary, telephone campaigns form a central part of the regular giving initiative at Swansea University. Over a period of three to four weeks, current students contact thousands of Swansea alumni by telephone to update them on developments at the University since they graduated and offer the opportunity to make a donation to The Swansea Fund.
The telephone campaigns enable alumni to talk with a current student about their memories and experiences of Swansea University. They enable alumni to find out how much the University has evolved while remaining true to its roots of providing an exceptional environment where students can flourish. Our students thoroughly enjoy reminiscing with alumni and you can read more about our student caller experiences here.
The Swansea Fund
In April 2017, 20 current Swansea University students participated in the first campaign the University has held in over a decade. The April Telephone Campaign saw over £100,000 pledged towards The Swansea Fund.
In October this year we launched our second campaign reconnecting with both UK and International graduates across the UK, US and Canada. The campaign saw over £103,000 pledged towards The Swansea Fund marking another successful campaign.
