Employability and Careers

The future is bright for Arts and Humanities students.  In addition to the transferable skills you develop through study and the curriculum, the College offers various employability opportunities and initiatives.

We are working both across the University and externally with employers, employer representative groups, professional bodies and partner International Institutions to provide our undergraduate, postgraduate, UK, EU and International students with the opportunity to undertake study abroad, work placements, internships and extra-curricular activities. We want to ensure our Graduates have excellent skills and attributes to compete and succeed in the job market. 

Our graduates are employed in diverse and dynamic vocations such as marketing, sales and advertising; commercial, industrial and public sectors; education; business, law and finance; journalism, media and PR; creative and professional writing; sport; social and welfare professions; heritage and tourism; government and politics; foreign affairs and diplomatic corps; humanitarian organisations; teaching English as a foreign language and some are employed as translators.

Swansea Employability Academy (SEA)

Swansea University has an Employability Academy (SEA) and has appointed Champions of Employability in every College, who lead a team which will help students at all levels of study to reach their potential- whether that is through a job, self employment or further study. The Swansea Employability Academy will promotes new initiatives, showcases good practice and provides opportunities for students to improve skills and record achievements using the Higher Education Achievement Report.
