What parking facilities are there at the Bay Campus and surrounding area?

There is parking for 600 cars at the Bay Campus including staff parking, disabled spaces, 100 pay and display spaces and parking for visitors to the Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Staff Permits allow staff to park on both campuses.

There is a controlled parking zone in Elba Crescent and Baldwin’s Crescent to avoid overspill parking.

Is there parking for students?

As has been longstanding University policy, there is no parking for students on either campus. However, parking for students is available at the Swansea City Council recreational ground at Singleton and the Fabian Way ‘park and ride’ facility for the Bay Campus, where students can connect with a bus to the Bay Campus and Singleton Park Campus. Students with disabilities will be able to park on campus – such cases will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Is there parking for Visitors?

Visitors are welcome at both of our campuses. There are 100 pay and display spaces at the Bay Campus, current costs (July 2016) are from £1.50 for 2 hours, £2.50 for 4 hours, £3.50 for all day.

Please note that the University operates an automatic number recognition system and that if visitors park in the visitor car park they must display a pay and display ticket or they may receive an automatic fine.

What car share opportunities are there?

Staff choosing to car share will see a reduced cost in parking charges with plans for dedicated spaces in the future. All staff need to be registered on the University Liftshare scheme and after finding a partner and agreeing to car share apply for a car share permit.
