College of Human and Health Sciences International Scholarships

The College of Human and Health Sciences is awarding Postgraduate Taught Scholarships of £2000 to students who will begin their studies in 2017. 


  • You must be a non-EU student and have, or expect to achieve, excellent academic grades to this point.
  • You must hold an offer to study on a postgraduate taught course offered by the College Human and Health Sciences at Swansea University from September 2017.

Engineering Bright Futures Scholarship

Key Information

The College of Engineering is committed to celebrating the internationalisation of our learning and research environment, and is proud of our international students and staff. We have students from over 70 countries, and a very international faculty of staff from all corners of the world, and are dedicated to investing in the futures of our students.

To recognise and enhance this, we are awarding Scholarships of £2000 to international undergraduate and taught postgraduate students who will begin their studies in 2017 for all Engineering and Sport & Exercise Science students.

Recipients will be awarded the role of International Ambassador, and be expected to act on behalf of the College of Engineering and represent the College to students, applicants, institutions and partners in recruitment and marketing activities as appropriate.

Sports Science: Funded MA: Sports Ethics and Integrity

Key Information

This MA in Sports Ethics and Integrity is funded by Enigma Alliance.

Project start date: 18 September 2017

The MA Sports Ethics and Integrity (MAiSI) will equip students for high-level careers in sports administration and governance, with a focus on ethical sports, integrity and compliance. Students will receive training that enables them to identify ethical issues, engage in moral thinking, and translate decisions into moral actions – the three core skills required to develop sports integrity.

The MAiSI will support students in developing an ethical mind-set and transferable skills that are indispensable for addressing the value and integrity issues facing national and international sporting federations, national Olympic Committees, and Paralympic Committees.


The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition fee for African International students plus a stipend of €1,000 per month for 22 months.

There will also be additional funds available for travel.

School of Management Developing Futures Scholarships

Seeking outstanding future alumni and ambassadors

The School of Management understands what employers look for and the School has created this unique Developing Futures Scholarship programme.  The School of Management is dedicated to our students and passionate about student success; in both academic excellence and involvement in student life.

Our Developing Futures programme is more than a scholarship package, along with financial support for an academic year you will also get the chance to gain valuable career-enhancing skills.  Recipients of the scholarship will be required to work with the Recruitment and Marketing teams on three events, plus one event for the Student Experience team and the Careers team.  Recipients are also expected to join a society or become a course representative for their degree programme. 

The closing date for applications is 11th August 2017.

Eira Davies Scholarship

The Eira Francis Davies Scholarship is a full tuition fee scholarship, and will be awarded to female students ordinarily resident in a developing country as listed* who are admitted to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate course within the College of Human and Health Sciences. 

International Postgraduate Alumni Awards

The scheme is open to all International Swansea Alumni candidates applying for a Taught Master’s or Research degree in any subject area.

The definition of ‘alumni’ is candidates who have successfully completed a ‘full’ degree programme at Swansea University and includes students who have qualified with a Bachelor degree applying for a Taught Master’s programme and Taught Masters’ students applying for MPhil/PhD. 

Santander Scholarship

Swansea University is proud to be part of the Santander Network of Universities and grateful to Santander for the provision of these scholarships.

Each Santander scholarship is to the value of £5,000, towards tuition fee costs and cannot be used towards living costs. 

Commonwealth Scholarship

Commonwealth Scholarship

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) awards over 900 scholarships and fellowships for postgraduate study and professional development to Commonwealth citizens each year.

Chevening Scholarships

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government's global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The scholarships are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential. Awards are typically for a one year Master’s degree at universities across the UK.

International and EU Scholarships

Erasmus+ Master Loans

Erasmus+ Master Loans allow students to apply for financial support for their master's studies abroad. Loans are offered by participating banks and student loan agencies on favourable conditions to mobile students, including better than market interest rates and up to two years to allow graduates to get into a job before beginning repayment. Fulbright Commission

The Fulbright Awards Programme is the only organisation that offers scholarships to incoming American students for academic work in any subject, at any accredited UK university.

American Association of University Women

The largest source of funding for graduate women in the US. 

Canadian Centennial Scholarships Fund

The Canadian Centennial Scholarships Fund is open to applications from all Canadian graduate students studying for full-time, multi-year graduate programmes in the UK.


College of Science International Scholarships

The College of Science has a number of postgraduate scholarships available to Chinese, Indonesian and Malaysian students for September 2017 entry.

Each scholarship is to be offset against international tuition fees. The value of the scholarships is as follows:

  • Up to £2000 for postgraduate study (taught schemes only)

Music Scholarships

Music Scholarships at Swansea University


Our Music Entrance Scholarships are designed to enable talented musicians to continue to develop their skill and musicianship in a supportive environment. These scholarships are open to new undergraduate students studying any subject and are tenable for the duration of the scholar's undergraduate degree.

Two kinds of music scholarships are available:

  • University Instrumental Scholarships
  • Joint Choral Scholarships, held in conjunction with St Mary’s Church

The scholarships have a nominal value of £1000 per year, comprising:

  • Regular individual lessons in the scholar’s instrument or voice
  • A bursary of £300 per year, to support the purchase of sheet music, exam fees, etc
