Maths and Stats Success

Maths and Stats Success

Established in 2015 Maths and Stats Success (MASS) is a service offered to all students at Swansea University who need help with the maths/stats element in their course. It doesn’t matter whether maths/stats is a small or large element of your course.  Informal drop in sessions are timetabled in the week at both Singleton Park and the Bay campus – no appointments are needed. All support is given by trained students.

On the Singleton Park Campus there are generic sessions held twice a week in the library which are open to all.  Here students from the Department of Mathematics offer support and guidance.  Also on this campus more specialised support is offered by the College of Human and Health Sciences and by the Department of Physics.  Targeted support is also made available for nursing students studying in St. David’s Park Campus, Carmarthen.

On the Bay Campus specialised support is offered in the Maths Café which is run by the College of Engineering.  The School of Management also offers drop in sessions during the week.

The drop in sessions are complemented by online learning resources which can be found on Blackboard.
