Postgraduate Research students are considered inclusive members of the School’s research team and are encouraged to take an active role in shaping the community and environment. As a postgraduate student you will have access to a diverse programme of seminars and workshops and a comprehensive skills’ development programme; which exposes students to innovation, Bioentrepreneurship and digital technologies as well as traditional core skills. You will join a thriving PGR community of 200 students with access to state-of-the-art resources and laboratories. Attendance at national and international conferences is encouraged and supported via a bursaries scheme. Each year the Medical School hosts a ‘postgraduate conference, where our students deliver oral and poster presentations to develop their presentation and communication skills and practice dealing with (and asking) questions in a realistic research environment.
Throughout your candidature, you will be supported by a supervisory team (academic and pastoral guidance) as well as a dedicated Medical School PGR Office team and Higher Degrees Committee.
