MSc Genomic Medicine


Genomic medicine is an emerging field concerned with the application of genetics and genomic sequences to diagnose and treat disease. This MSc is a new programme based around the curriculum developed by Health Education England and is delivered by the Medical School. The course involves the study of human genetics and genomics as well as developing an understanding of the range of techniques that can be used and their application in the clinical setting.

The course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to understand and interpret genomic data that can be used to inform clinical practice and scientific research – offering an interdisciplinary approach to translational medicine. The course is aimed at a diverse cohort of students ranging from research scientists to all levels of health care professionals.
