A professional leadership development programme, designed to enhance the leadership skills of leaders and owner-managers of small to medium sized business, is hosting a free preview event at the Port of Milford Haven this month (23 October, 12.30pm – 2.00pm).
The event will focus on how Swansea University’s LEAD Wales programme has helped businesses across Wales increase their turnover by an average of 26% per year.
A recent graduate from the programme, Maudie Hughes Chief Executive Pembrokeshire Tourism, said: “The LEAD Wales programme offers a broad range of practical and theoretical skills and learning, delivered through a variety of methods. The programme gives owner-managers the opportunity to work ON their business rather than IN it, and in doing so develop and strengthen their skills, and identify opportunities for future growth. My own experience of LEAD Wales has been hugely positive, I am more confident in my ability, and the impact on my business is already clear as we have a strong direction and strategy, and the team has grown to support this.”
LEAD Wales Operations and Marketing Manager Gary Walpole said: “I would encourage businesses across Pembrokeshire to take advantage of our preview event to find out how our programme can benefit their business. This is a real opportunity to discover firsthand how enhancing leadership skills can enhance business performance.”
Mark Andrews, Corporate Affairs Director, said “We’re delighted to be able to support the Welsh Government funded LEAD Wales programme as we’re committed to helping the development of people and businesses in Milford Haven and across Pembrokeshire”.
The Leadership Preview Event is FREE TO ATTEND and describes how committing just one hour per day working on your business can help you achieve new levels of success.
