Swansea University Theology Public Lecture: "Monastic steps for everyday life"

The next in the series of Swansea University’s Theology Public Lectures will feature guest speaker the Right Reverend Christopher Jamison OSB.

Father Christopher JamisonThe Theology public lecture programme at Swansea University was first set up by the Reverend Nigel John, Senior Chaplain at the University and has featured internationally respected Church leaders and world renowned academics who have spoken on a whole range of different topics.

The Right Reverend Christopher Jamison OSB is the Director of the National Office for Vocation for the Catholic Church in England and Wales and former Abbot of Worth Abbey in West Sussex.

Father Jamison is hugely in demand as a preacher, teacher and public speaker. He came to public prominence while he was Abbot of Worth Abbey through the BBC 2 series 'The Monastery' and later the follow up series 'The Big Silence'.

This lecture looks at what the silence and stillness of monastic life can teach us all and is suitable for Christians, all religious believers and anyone who leads a busy life!
