Swansea University wins WhatUni award for Best Courses and Lecturers

Swansea University has won the 2016 WhatUni award for Best Courses and Lecturers, it was revealed at a London awards ceremony on 15 April. Swansea also came second in the UK for its international work, third for University of the Year and Clubs and Societies, and fourth for graduate prospects.

WhatUni 2016 logoThe Whatuni Student Rankings are based on averages taken from thousands of reviews submitted by students and published on Whatuni.com.

The WhatUni rankings, which are now in their third year, offer prospective students an unbiased, student-led alternative to traditional university ranking systems.

Over the last year, 25,000 reviews were collected; 125 universities met the minimum threshold to be considered for a Student Choice Award; and 39 universities have received a nomination.

‌Swansea University won the 2014 WhatUni University of the Year Award. 

It was shortlisted for University of the Year again in 2016, and in nine categories in total.

Professor Steve Wilks, Pro-Vice-Chancellor at Swansea University, said:
