Loans and Grants

Tuition Fee Loan and Grant

Students who are usually living within the EU (not UK) and are starting their studies in academic year 2018/19 can apply for a Tuition F Fee Loan to cover the full cost of tuition fees (subject to terms and conditions). They can do this by applying to the Student Finance Non UK team.

 Amount per academic year

Tuition Fee Cost

Up to £9295*

Tuition Fee Loan (Maximum)

Up to £9295*

Tuition Fee Loan and Grant payments will be made directly to the University upon confirmation of your attendance each term, therefore no up-front payment is required.

*The Welsh Government has announced intentions to increase the maximum tuition fee in 2018-19 for full-time undergraduate degree programmes in line with inflation. This may mean the maximum tuition fee for 2018-19 could be set to increase from £9,000 to £9,295 per annum.

Maintenance Loan and Grant

Students from the EU are not usually entitled to funding towards living costs and it is expected that funding for maintenance is sourced prior to attending the university.

The UK government have confirmed that all EU students who start their studies in 2018/19 will continue to be entitled to student finance for the duration of their course, regardless of any further changes following the UK's decision to leave the EU.
